To prevent/delay abrasive wear and corrosion in Screws and Rockets of Plastic Injection Machines after certain working lives. Moldplus PVD coating is recommended. We especially recommend the Metistec Moldplus series Cr(C)N based / Ti(Cr)N based PVD coatings, which both increase corrosion resistance and combine high hardness (3-4 times higher hardness compared to nitriding).
Since our coating oven dimensions allow us to vertically charge screws up to 1400 mm in height, we offer a significant advantage in terms of PVD coating on solid screws.
